Pendleton Early Learning Center

Located centrally in Pendleton, Oregon, the Pendleton Early Learning Center is the district’s first community education center. This renovation and addition accommodates 12 kindergarten classrooms for approximately 300 students, and houses the district’s early intervention, early childhood special education, English language learners, and pre-kindergarten programs. Additionally, the center includes two Head Start classrooms and offices, a child-care facility, and a community-based health clinic. The Commons is a double height space open to all areas of the building. The central playground courtyard is secured with a covered walkway. This canopy also houses the facility’s new solar power system.
