TLC Credit Union

TLC Federal Credit Union serves customers in communities along the central and northern Oregon Coast. BBT designed a facility in Tillamook that combines traditional materials in a contemporary manner to respond to TLC's desire to create a signature building on their highly visible site. Because "Tillamook" is a Native American word for "land of many waters," references to water are repeated throughout the design including curved exterior walkways and curved walls that are echoed in the opening to the second floor directly above. Large covered walkways, designed to be reminiscent of a forest canopy and providing important weather protection for customers, feature angled timber supports with exposed rafters and decking.
