Sustainability

Designing buildings that are energy efficient and environmentally friendly has been the foundation of BBT’s 35 years of success. Long before the current green, sustainable and high performance building trends, BBT was designing energy efficient buildings to reduce operating costs. Our design portfolio includes active and passive solar buildings since the 1970’s. In the 1980’s, BBT designed waste heat recovery systems for clients such as Mt. Bachelor Ski Resort. And in the 1990’s, BBT designed an educational facility that was adopted as the State of Oregon’s model school for energy design.  Today, BBT has two LEED Accredited Professionals on staff.
