Todd Turner, principal
Todd Turner
Todd Turner has more than 36 years of experience in the field of architecture. With an emphasis on construction document preparation, project organization and cost control, he has served as project architect for educational facilities, shopping centers, hospitals, high tech offices and manufacturing facilities. Todd’s background has contributed to his ability to successfully integrate his client’s special requirements into their projects with cost effective results, leading to innovative solutions and completion of jobs within timelines and budgets.

Don Stevens, principal
Don Stevens
As an architect, Donald Stevens, AIA, is responsible for overseeing the design efforts for BBT projects. Additionally, his role includes client contact, design team management, and project coordination for projects as Principal-in-Charge. Don received a Bachelor of Science degree in architecture from the University of Cincinnati, a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Pennsylvania under the tutelage of world-renowned architect Louis Kahn, and studied architectural and urban design in Denmark as a Fulbright Scholar. In addition, he was an Associate Professor of Architecture at the University of Cincinnati for 13 years. During his 46-year career, Don has been a partner in large and small architectural firms, involved in projects of varying size and scale. He has practiced in Central Oregon since 1990.

Renee Alexander, principal

With over 28 years of experience, Renée joined BBT in 2012 with an emphasis in planning, programming and design. In addition to her expertise in these areas, she also oversees operations and interiors. She has served as Planner and Facilitator on several major projects in Oregon and Washington.

Her talents make her ideally suited for working with clients through the entire process of planning, design and construction. She takes every opportunity to challenge herself by assisting clients with their visions. Renee is an active listener, helping turn her client's dreams into reality.

Renee recently became the Pacific Northwest Regional President of the Council of Educational Facility Planners International (CEFPI), and has taken over Presidential responsibilities until October 2014. She is also past president and past governor of the local chapter of CEFPI, and has been active in the organization for over 20 years.

Al Levage
Al Levage
Al is a project architect with over 36 years of experience in the fields of architecture and construction.  Over the years, Al has diversified his talents by working as a project manager for a commercial general contractor, owning partnership in a real estate development company, and owning and operating a commercial construction company.  His background in these areas has allowed him to develop strong skills in construction management, application and office administration.  Most importantly, he has learned the difference between theoretical design and the efficient application of design.

Al has served as a project manager for Touchmark Development & Construction Co., acting as the owner’s representative for management of building projects both in design and under construction.

Kevin Shaver
Kevin Shaver
Kevin Shaver has been with BBT for over 12 years, and has over 18 years of architectural experience with a background in construction and landscaping. As an Associate at BBT, Kevin is skilled in design, construction and project management building types that include education, medical facilities, office complexes, hospitality and recreational facilities. He has particular expertise in managing educational projects from the early programming and design phases through final construction. As a Bend native, he is personally committed to providing quality architectural services to Central Oregon. Kevin is an active volunteer at his daughters' school; acting as a chaperone on numerous field trips, as well as the Architects in Schools program.

Matt Appleby
Matt Appleby
Matt has over 18 years of experience with both public and private projects including laboratory, office, historic, commercial, high-rise urban mixed use, and hospitality buildings, and previously worked as a Project Architect for Stricker Cato Murphy Architects and Koppe Wagner Architects in Seattle. As a Project Architect at BBT, Matt leads projects from design through construction. He is a licensed architect in Oregon and Washington, and earned his Bachelor of Architecture degree at Montana State University in Bozeman.

Heidi Slaybaugh

Martha McNall
Martha McNall
Martha McNall has been with BBT for over 17 years and leads the firm’s CAD team.  She has over 36 years of professional architectural experience, with 24years experience in CAD drafting. Her past experience includes five years as a production manager for a large commercial architectural firm in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Originally joining BBT as a CAD Technician, Martha’s responsibilities have grown to include project management, consultant coordination and construction administration, with experience in all phases of the design and construction process.

Tammy Hite
Tammy Hite
With over 11 years of experience in architecture, Tammy has completed projects in many categories including education, commercial and healthcare. As a team member on multi-million dollar projects, Tammy has successfully ensured construction documents were completed on time and to the client's satisfaction. Additionally, Tammy is BBT's IT/CAD Manager. Her previous experience also includes time as a high school teacher in Portland, OR.

Julie Still
Julie Still

Julie Still is a CAD technician with over 19 years of drafting experience. Prior to joining BBT, Julie worked at Sienna Architecture in Portland and Stevens Architect designing and remodeling large scale retail buildings.  She currently works on the preparation and maintenance of base drawings, preparation of plans, elevations, sections, details for medical office buildings and retail tenant improvements. Julie also has experience submitting documents for permitting,  working with plan reviewer to obtain building permits, and performs code studies for projects in the office to ensure building code requirements are met. And if that’s not enough, Julie also assists project architects in the preparation, coordination, and issuance of revisions and clarifications during construction.
