Todd Turner, principal

Todd Turner has more than 33 years of experience in the field of architecture. With an emphasis on construction document preparation, project organization and cost control, he has served as project architect for educational facilities, shopping centers, hospitals, high tech offices and manufacturing facilities. Todd’s background has contributed to his ability to successfully integrate his client’s special requirements into their projects with cost effective results, leading to innovative solutions and completion of jobs within timelines and budgets.

Don Stevens, principal

As an architect, Donald Stevens, AIA, is responsible for overseeing the design efforts for BBT projects. Additionally, his role includes client contact, design team management, and project coordination for projects as Principal-in-Charge. Don received a Bachelor of Science degree in architecture from the University of Cincinnati, a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Pennsylvania under the tutelage of world-renowned architect Louis Kahn, and studied architectural and urban design in Denmark as a Fulbright Scholar. In addition, he was an Associate Professor of Architecture at the University of Cincinnati for 13 years. During his 42-year career, Don has been a partner in large and small architectural firms, involved in projects of varying size and scale. He has practiced in Central Oregon since 1990.

Al Levage

Al is a project architect with over 33 years of experience in the fields of architecture and construction. Over the years, Al has diversified his talents by working as a project manager for a commercial general contractor, owning partnership in a real estate development company, and owning and operating a commercial construction company. His background in these areas has allowed him to develop strong skills in construction management, application and office administration. Most importantly, he has learned the difference between theoretical design and the efficient application of design.
Al has recently served as a project manager for Touchmark Development & Construction Co., acting as the owner’s representative for management of building projects both in design and under construction.

Michael Wireman-Nothwang

Mike joined BBT in 2007 as a designer and project manager, and has 14 years of architectural experience. Previous work includes six years of commercial and public project experience with architectural firms in Texas and New Mexico, where he served as lead designer and project manager for several large educational projects. Mike’s unique design talent, along with his superior 3-D computer modeling skills, give him the ability to understand the client’s design goals and clearly translate those goals back to the client in a visual format that is easily understood.

Liz Hedrick
With over 12 years of architectural experience, Liz has completed numerous education, commercial, industrial, tenant improvement and residential projects while working at Boora Architects and Laurence Ferar and Associates in Portland. As both a team member and project architect on multi-million dollar jobs, Liz ensures work is completed on time, within budget and to the client’s satisfaction. Additionally, as a veteran lieutenant in the U.S. Army, Liz gained extensive knowledge of government contracts and accommodating the needs of multiple stakeholders.

Martha McNall

Martha McNall has been with BBT for over 14 years and leads the firm’s CAD team. She has over 33 years of professional architectural experience, with 23 years experience in CAD drafting. Her past experience includes five years as a production manager for a large commercial architectural firm in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Originally joining BBT as a CAD Technician, Martha’s responsibilities have grown to include project management, consultant coordination and construction administration, with experience in all phases of the design and construction process.

Kevin Shaver

Kevin Shaver has been with BBT for eight years, and has over 15 years of architectural experience with a background in construction and landscaping. Kevin is skilled in design, construction and project management building types that include higher education, medical facilities, office complexes, hospitality and recreational facilities. He has particular expertise in managing educational projects from the early programming and design phases through final construction. Kevin is in the final stages of completing licensing requirements for registration as an architect in Oregon, and as a Bend native, Kevin is personally committed to providing quality architectural services to Central Oregon.

Tammy Hite
As one of BBT’s architectural interns, Tammy Hite began her 10-year career as a drafting and design instructor for the Portland School District and an IT intern with Zimmer Gunsul Frasca Architects. She now assists with construction administration field reports for BBT’s educational projects, and works as a CAD technician on high tech projects. Tammy also has experience with quality assessments of documentation and working closely with engineers, specialists and consultants throughout the bidding phases of numerous projects.

Nathanael Werner
Nathanael has over five years of experience in the field of architecture, including small business development, office and project management. As an architectural intern at BBT, he works as a CAD technician and assists with design on public projects. He also has experience creating effective dialogue between clients, consultants and contractors to accomplish the collective goal.

Julie Still
Julie Still is a CAD technician with over 17 years of drafting experience. Prior to joining BBT, Julie worked at Sienna Architecture in Portland and Stevens Architect designing and remodeling large scale retail buildings. She currently works on the preparation and maintenance of base drawings, preparation of plans, elevations, sections, details for medical office buildings and retail tenant improvements. Julie also has experience submitting documents for permitting, and working with plan reviewer to obtain building permits. And if that’s not enough, Julie also assists project architects in the preparation, coordination, and issuance of revisions and clarifications during construction.
