History

Founded in Bend, Oregon in 1976, BBT Architects, Inc. is an award winning architectural firm with over 36 years of experience designing public, commercial and educational buildings. Originally founded as the firm of Waldron Huston Barber Architects, BBT was established with the goal of providing high quality architectural services for commercial and public projects. With the transition of several partners, the firm became Barber Barrett Turner Architects in 1988, and shortened to BBT Architects in 2002. Don Stevens joined the firm in 2008 with the merger of his firm Stevens Architect, LLC.  The current ownership includes principals Todd Turner, AIA, Don Stevens, AIA and Renee Alexander (Kroupa), AIA who lead the firm. With a diverse staff of 16 talented professionals, including seven licensed architects, BBT is small enough to ensure the involvement of a principal on each project, yet of sufficient size to handle the complexities of larger projects.
